Working with What Already Exists.

The client, a senior IT professional, came to us when the building structure was already complete. The RCC framework was therefore something we could not alter—but rather than allowing the existing structure to dictate the spaces, we chose to work within it and rethink the possibilities.

We opened up the interiors, rebalanced the spaces and carefully reworked the planning to make the home feel more generous, connected and functional.

One of the key interventions was the staircase—a light, almost floating element that reveals itself and disappears as you move through the space. It creates a sense of movement and curiosity, hiding and revealing itself to add a little drama and interest to an otherwise structured framework.

The project became an exercise in transforming constraints into opportunities—working with the structure, but not being restricted by it.
